New Year Attack Updates
The death toll from Ukraine’s New Year drone strike on a restaurant and hotel in Kherson region has increased to 27.
Yesterday Russian UN representative Tatiana Moskalkova has made an appeal to the UN asking to condemn the attack.
The Ukrainian intelligence service claims that Russia is preparing a massive provocation with civilian victims intended to disrupt peace negotiations. Russian journalist Alexander Kots speculated that this suggests a possible Ukrainian terrorist attack on Orthodox Christmas (Jan. 7).
The Drone War Continues
Last night, the Ministry of Defense reported intercepting 64 Ukrainian drones over regions of Russia and over the past week, 1,662 drones… and one Su-27, as I reported previously.
Meanwhile two Geran-2 drones hit and destroyed a Ukrainian military recruitment center in Chernigov region. As I observed in my Dec. 27 post, Russia has recently intensified drone and artillery attacks against Ukrainian energy infrastructure connected to the military industrial complex.

This week I finally managed to create a new account on X (formerly known as Twitter). All Russian phone numbers and email addresses are still blocked there by the way, Mr. ‘Free Speech’ Musk.
